Responsible for the development and management of the manuscript collections (including the Nevada Women's Archives) in UNLV Special Collections.
Duties include the identification, selection, and acquisition of collections that support the mission of UNLV Special Collections in documenting
the social, cultural, political, and physical history of Las Vegas and the Southern Nevada region. Train and supervise student assistants and
undergraduate interns. Provide reference and instructional services that focus on the content and use of all of our collections. Publicize and
promote use of Special Collections by various means, including developing content for the department's web page and curating exhibits.
Cultivate relationships with donors and promote the department and its collections both internally (within the library) and externally
on campus and nationwide).
Processing Archivist, Toyota USA Archives, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. , Inc., Torrance , CA -- 9/98 – 7/99
Processed, arranged, and described archival collections. Created finding aids for processed collections. Maintained vertical file collections.
Answered reference queries in person, and by phone and email. Supervised clerical assistants in minor processing tasks. Accessioned and
inventoried newly acquired collections. Aided in the creation of content for Toyota 's corporate intranet site by scanning photos using
