The UNLV Libraries Conservation/Preservation Laboratory treated the original corporation papers for the City of Henderson. This collection consisted of 15 legal sized papers and 3 over-sized maps.
Despite some minor wear and tear, the smaller documents were in stable condition and needed no direct repairs.
The three over-sized maps were found to be in a more fragile condition. The maps were humidified and flattened, and they were backed using an acid-free paper and methyl-cellulose.
All original documents were digitized and encapsulated. Duplicates were printed on archival paper, for exhibit. Acid-free folders and containers were provided for long-term storage.
