In June 2001, Preservation/Conservation staff and students began constructing new bindings for UNLV Libraries materials. Damaged books were rebound, and unbound and paperback items were bound. Selected items received marbled paper made in the Preservation/Conservation Laboratory.

The books are wrapped in waxed paper and placed
in the press between pressboards. Plexiglass rods are used to enhance the
hinges. |
