of civil engineer C.D. Baker who served as chief engineer, county
surveyor and two-term mayor of Las Vegas in the 1950s. Baker also
served as a Nevada State senator and assemblyman and ran an unsuccessful
campaign for Nevada governor. Collection contains mayoral correspondence,
campaign ephemera, scrapbooks, award certificates, and news clippings
relating primarily to his career in politics. The collection also
contains correspondence and newsletters focusing on the Las Vegas
Rotary Club in the 1920s including the "The Boulder Dam"
newsletter.

Nevada. Issues covered in the collection include: environment,

Harmon. There are family scrapbooks with his wedding announcement,

like the Fraternal Brotherhood of Eagles, etc.; news clippings
of running for County Clerk, District Attorney, Governor and reporting
on his death, and a Western Union Telegraph from Franklin Roosevelt
looking forward to counting Nevada as a Democratic state in the
upcoming presidential election. There are also clippings about
the rise of his son in politics.

a native Nevadan who served on the Eighth Judicial District Court
of the State of Nevada from 1946 to 1960. The collection focuses

district attorney, or legislator. Types of documents in the collection
include Henderson's correspondence, campaign statements, certificates
and proclamations, his memorial book, newspaper clippings, an
