Content: Gene Collins worked as an operator's engineer at the Nevada Test Site and later trained as an engineer. He worked with youth groups in Las Vegas, was a state assemblyman, and was instrumental in getting the Martin Luther King holiday bill passed. He was president of the Las Vegas chapter of the NAACP
