Collection consists of papers relating to the life and activities of civil engineer C.D. Baker who served as chief engineer, county surveyor and two-term mayor of Las Vegas in the 1950s. Baker also served as a Nevada State senator and assemblyman and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Nevada governor. Collection contains mayoral correspondence, campaign ephemera, scrapbooks, award certificates, and news clippings relating primarily to his career in politics. The collection also contains correspondence and newsletters focusing on the Las Vegas Rotary Club in the 1920s including the "The Boulder Dam" newsletter.
