What do I need to check out a laptop?
You'll need your valid UNLV RebelCard that has been registered with the University Libraries, and a clear record (no fines, overdues, etc.)
Who can check out a laptop?
UNLV students, faculty, or staff. We do not check out laptops to community users.
Where can I check out a laptop?
At the Media Resources Service Desk on the first floor of Lied Library.
How long do I get the laptop?
Up to four hours depending on when you check it out. There is a $20 late charge per hour or portion of an hour the laptop is late.
When can I check out a laptop?
Mon-Thursday.......8:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Last checkout at 9:00 p.m.
Friday...................8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Last checkout at 4:00 p.m.
Saturday..............9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Last checkout at 3:00 p.m.
Sunday .................11:30 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Last checkout at 9:00 p.m.

Where can I use laptops?
Our laptops are wireless; they can be used anywhere in the library.
What if the laptop is damaged or stolen while I have it checked out?
While the laptop is checked out to you, it is your responsibility. You can be charged for any repair or replacement costs up to and including the full replacement cost of the laptop.
What hardware is available with the laptops?
The laptops are Dell Inspiron 610Ds with Pentium M processor, and a CDRW/DVD drive. The laptops check out with a power cord, optical mouse, a set of headphones, and a carrying case.
