Music Library Tutorial Pages

Welcome to the UNLV Music Library tutorial pages. Here we will guide you step-by-step through the process of finding music of all kinds in the Library's Catalog.

About the Tutorials

Most pages will ask you to respond to one or more questions after reading some short explanatory text. After responding to the questions (either by clicking on a round button or typing some text in a box), click the "Continue" button which will appear beneath the questions. Until you click this button, nothing will happen.

In some cases you will only read some text and then go on. In this case simply click the "Continue" button when you are ready to go on.

Many pages will be divided into two frames, with the tutorial in the top half and the Library's online catalog in the bottom half. You do not need to do anything with the online catalog; it's there just to show you what happens when you perform the exercises in the tutorial.

i
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a tutorial on basic use of the catalog. If you're not familiar with the Library's online catalog, you should begin with the excellent tutorial at www.library.unlv.edu/help/tutorial/index.html.
Take a look at the box on the left. This is an example of an informational box. Although the information in the box may not directly apply to the exercise you're doing at the time, it will contain information that will prove useful to you as you go along. Take the time to read these when you encounter them.

To leave the tutorial at any time, click on the Music Library logo present in the upper-right-hand corner of every tutorial page.
