Sponsored by the Economics & Statistics Administration at the Department of Commerce, this site provides timely access to the daily releases of key economic indicators from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau. It includes statistics for new residential construction, monthly wholesale trade, retail e-commerce sales, and much more.

 County Business Patterns (http://www.census.gov/epcd/cbp/view/cbpview.html)
An annual series providing subnational economic data by industry, useful for studying the economic activity of small areas. Searchers can view and download information by county, state, U.S. zip code, or MSA database on a NAICS or SIC basis, in addition to county, state, and national economic profiles.

 International Trade Administration (ITA) (http://www.ita.doc.gov/)
Covers all areas of import and export in the United States, and contains information on all areas of trade including laws and regulations, trade statistics, and state export data. Click on the "Trade Information Center" to access resources for even more detailed trade information. The Trade Information Center has tariff and tax information, export resources, and trade profiles for other countries.

Contains data to the following: crime trends from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports, homicide trends and characteristics by state and local agencies, law enforcement management, and administrative statistics.

A summary of U.S. statistics concerning drug-related crimes, law enforcement, courts, and corrections from Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) and non-BJS sources

 Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) (http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/ucr.htm)
According to its website, "UCR is a city, county, and state law enforcement program which provides a nationwide view of crime based on the submission of statistics by law enforcement agencies throughout the country." Some of the statistical categories include homicide, robbery, burglary, and aggravated assault.

 National Resources Inventory (NRI) Map Room ( http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/NRI/maps/)
Explore maps and charts that Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) analysts have developed using NRI data. Most of the products are based on data from the 1997 NRI.

 National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) (http://lwf.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/ncdc.html)
"NCDC is the world's largest active archive of weather data." Site is searchable by city, keyword, or station name, or users may browse by data type (including satellite, radar, and climate). Also offers an extensive guide to climate resources and statistics.
