Where are maps located in Lied Library?
The map area is located on the 2nd Floor of Lied Library where
maps are stored in large cabinets adjacent to the Government Publications
collection. You will also find maps in the Government Publications
stacks under SuDoc (Federal) and SWANK (State) call numbers.

How can I locate maps using the UNLV Libraries online catalog?
You can search the catalog by keyword, title, or call number to
locate maps. Check under the Location box on our catalog for "UNLV
Maps" for items located in the map cabinets. You may also
limit your search specifically to the "UNLV Maps" location.
Please note: Since all maps in the UNLV Map Collection have not
yet been cataloged, the finding guides located inside of each
map cabinet may further assist you in locating maps.
Can maps be checked out of the library?
Most maps may be checked out of the library for three weeks. Check
out and return the materials at the Circulation Desk on the 1st
floor. Some items are not allowed to circulate, such as rare,
fragile, or mounted maps, as well as globes, aerial photos, and
plastic relief maps.
Can I photocopy maps?
Maps may be photocopied on the self-serve copiers throughout the
library. Equipment for copying microfilm and microfiche is available
on the 2nd floor.
