Request for Rush Cataloging of an item "In Process"
Rush cataloging means that materials received by the Libraries can be cataloged quickly. Rush cataloging is provided as a service for all library patrons. The normal processing time for a rush request is 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
If the catalog record for an item you want says "In process" in place of a call number, fill out this electronic form completely with your name, address, phone number and email address, and as much bibliographic information as possible—especially the title of the book. If you are a University of Nevada, Las Vegas faculty or staff member, a departmental phone number and address are acceptable.
If assistance is needed in clarifying bibliographic or order information, or to determine if or when an item is available, you are free to contact the Acquisitions staff in Materials Ordering and Receiving, either by phone (895-2211) or in person. Paper request forms are also available at the Lied and branch library service desks, and Materials Ordering and Receiving.
Once items have been cataloged they are delivered to the pickup point you designate. You will be notified that the item is ready for pick-up. Rush items will be held for one week from time of notification.
