How will I be able to get a library card if I am not a student?

Answer:

All persons affiliated with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the Community College of Southern Nevada are eligible for borrowing privileges with the UNLV Libraries upon registration with any of the Libraries' circulation desks.

To assist members of the local community with their specialized research needs, the UNLV Libraries extend borrowing privileges to the public. Residents of Clark County, ages 18 and older, may borrow books from the UNLV Libraries upon registration. To register the borrower must present a valid Nevada driver's license or Nevada I.D. showing a local street address. The registrant must also allow the UNLV Libraries to place on file the imprint of a valid major credit card.

High school students under age 18 may borrow books if they are enrolled in a for-credit course at UNLV or CCSN or other participating educational institutions.

Current dues paying alumni may borrow books from the UNLV Libraries upon registration. To register the borrower must present a current alumni card and a valid Nevada driver's license or Nevada I.D. showing a local street address.

Active duty military personnel may register by presenting a valid military I.D. card along with proof of residency.
