There are over 10,000 reels of Nevada newspapers on microfilm. Consult the Nevada Newspaper List, a database sort of newspapers compiled by city, title, and county. An electronic Nevada Newspaper Index is available on computers in the UNLV Library. This index covers selected Nevada newspapers from 1972 - 1982 and 1991 - 1996. A microfiche index is available at the Research and Information 2 service desk for selected Nevada newspapers from 1983 - 1995. The Marden Index references articles about the Chinese population from the Winnemucca newspapers (1873 - 1939) and is obtainable at the Research & Information 2 service desk.
