1. What do I need to check out a laptop?You'll need a valid UNLV library barcode and a clear record (no fines, overdues, etc.) 2. Who can check out a laptop? UNLV students, faculty, or staff. We do not check out laptops to community users. 3. Where can I check out a laptop? At the ASL Service Desk 4. How long can I have the laptop for? Up to three hours depending on when you check it out with one renewal for an additional 3 hours depending on availability. There is a $20 late charge per hour or portion of an hour the laptop is late. 5. Can I renew? Yes, you can have one renewal if other laptops are available for checkout. 6. When can I check out a laptop? Laptops may be checked out until two hours prior to closing. All laptops must be returned to the ASL Service Desk one hour prior to closing. The last check out will be two hours prior to closing, with a one hour loan period.
Laptops are equipped with wireless only connectivity. In order to connect to the network you will need a wireless account. If you don’t already have a wireless account you can sign up for one by going to https://accounts.wireless.unlv.edu/. Have your RebelCard ready as you will need your L#. Laptops can be used anywhere in the ASL. 8. What if the laptop is damaged or stolen while I have it checked
