| The Las Vegas Livable Communities Charrette was sponsored by the Las Vegas Review Journal with Larry Scarpa, Gene Pasinski, Eric Strain, Kasey Baker, Randy Barnes, Lance Kirk, Arnie Stalk, Mike Corrente, Paul Fenkell, and others and held at the UNLV School of Architecture on April 8-9. | The charrette began Saturday at 10 am on the SOA second floor. Four different sites had been selected throughout the Las Vegas Valley with connection to existing rail transportation and water. Teams of five to six AAE 282 students along with professional members of the design community as team leaders and members of the UNLV SOA Developing Sustainable Design class as resources, developed designs for a sustainable community. |
