1. Welcome, Attila Lawrence

a. The positive changes in progress constitute realignments in our school and reflect the evolving character of the school in response to UNLV initiatives and changing societal demands made on professional education. These changes will bring additional professional depth and experience to us and will help to further position our school for continued growth in providing high quality professional educational experiences. The School of Architecture continues to be an important resource for the professional community and with the new Downtown Design Center, the region as a whole. The seamless transition to our next developmental phase that commenced earlier this year is guided by our core values centered on quality professional education that enrich the core strengths of the school.

b. Priorities for this academic year:
- prepare for LAAB accreditation
- begin preparation for NAAB accreditation
- align pedagogical practices to increase students’ definitive understanding of the global necessity of building a sustainable future, and the strategic role of design in achieving and maintaining sustainable societies
- refine our identity

c. Departure of Dr. Michael Kroelinger and Dr. Zouheir Hashem
- both continue to communicate with our school and remain important resources for information and guidance during our transitional phase

d. Introduction of new faculty
