| Description: | This Facility is a series of individual recreational buildings connected along a "spine" the connecting element whose high ceiling allows filtered light and ventilation throughout the facility. Outdoor public spaces, including two pools adjacent to the lake edge are protected from the hot afternoon sun and winds. The pool deck and lounge offer expansive views back toward the plaza, town center, the island and adjacent neighborhoods. This Facility is the link between residential and commercial districts of this new town. The design maximizes natural light and ventilation, energy, efficient lighting, combined with recycled and sustainable materials. |
