"Utter respect for the natural world finds no conflict with the geometrically aligned grid." -- Eames Demetrios
The protest religion is based off reformation against the Catholic Church. Separating from the normative and creating a new ideal, while under similar core beliefs. Reformation is needed when current trends are not sufficient for the needs of the time. Thus, a reformationlescape against the natural characteristic and beauty of Las Vegas being engulfed by the stripmall/tract home economy that is taking over communities is needed.
This is achieved through regionally climatic concuss landscaping and construction methods, a sense of form and proportion that is not reminiscent of a cathedral, a poetic approach to materials, and a minimalist design approach.
