In a city being taken over by high-end high-rise condominium projects, this project provides to the community an alternative to the high-rise 2nd home projects being developed. This project establishes a residential environment attainable to the service workers of this community without sacrificing design… it actually encourages design through the modern appearance in contrast to the sea of red tile Mediterranean and glass encased high-rise.

The design creates a sense of community in the courtyard and oversized street walking edges. The design embraces the desert climate, creating the opportunity for cross ventilation through each unit from the cooler courtyard. Residents are drawn into the courtyard through open balconies at each unit.
