The AIA Nevada Distinguished Service
Awards are presented
yearly to the individuals and organizations whose efforts and
contributions benefit the community and further the profession.
The jurors for the 2009 AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards were:

Chris Green, AIA – Ago Studios, Inc. in Avon, CO.
Soren Simonsen, AIA, AICP, LEED AP – Community Studio in Salt Lake City, UT.

were 11 Distinguished
Service and and 6 Sustainable Practice submittals in 2009,
for which submittal

The AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards are presented yearly
to individuals and firms in recognition for outstanding design
work. The type and number of awards earned were determined by
jury and include Honor Awards, Merit Awards and Citation Awards
(Honor being the most distinguished).
The jurors for the 2009 AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards were:
- Craig Hodgetts, FAIA – Hodgetts + Fung Design and Architecture
- Anne Schopf, FAIA – Mahlum Architects in Seattle, WA.
- Marlene Imirzian, AIA – Marlene Imirzian & Associates Architects in Phoenix, AZ.
In 2009, 46 projects were submitted in three categories: Built, Interior Environment, and Collaboration. AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards were granted to 5 of these projects at two levels: Merit and Citation.
