The AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards are presented yearly to the individuals and organizations whose efforts and contributions benefit the community and further the profession.

The jurors for the 2007 AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards were:

Bruce Hawtin, FAIA (Hawtin Jorgensen Architects, Jackson, WY)

There were 9 Distinguished Service and 2 Sustainable Practice awards submittals in 2007, for which binders with submittal information are available in the ASL Special Collections. Six individuals received awards:

The AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards are presented yearly to individuals and firms in recognition for outstanding design work. The type and number of awards earned were determined by jury and include Honor Awards, Merit Awards and Citation Awards (Honor being the most distinguished).

The jurors for the 2007 AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards were:

Stephen Kanner, FAIA (Kanner Architecture, Santa Monica, CA)
Henry Siegel, FAIA (Siegel & Strain Architects, Emeryville CA)

In 2007, 73 projects were submitted in four categories: Built, Unbuilt, Interior Environment and Academic and Open Category. AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards were granted to 18 of these projects at three levels: Honor, Merit, and Citation.
