The AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards are presented yearly to the individuals and organizations whose efforts and contributions benefit the community and further the profession.

The jurors for the 2004 AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards were: Chairperson, Herman Orcutt, AIA, The Orcutt/Winslow Partnership, Phoenix, AZ; Steve Crane, FAIA, VCBO Architecture, Salt Lake City, UT; and Richard Haas, AIA, Studio D Architects, Las Cruces, NM

There were 8 Distinguished Service Award submittals in 2004, for which binders with submittal information are available in the ASL Special Collections. Four inividuals/firms received awards:

AIA Nevada Silver Medal – Dale Scheideman, AIA
AIA Nevada Architecture Firm Award – Klai Juba Architects
AIA Nevada Service Award – Ric Licata, AIA
AIA Nevada Young Architect Citation – Brandon Sprague, AIA

The AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards are presented yearly to individuals and firms in recognition for outstanding design work. The type and number of awards earned were determined by jury and include Honor Awards, Merit Awards and Citation Awards (Honor being the most distinguished).

The jurors for the 2004 AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards were: Ted Luna, AIA, Ted Luna, Architect-Planner, Santa Fe, NM; Kim Ferranti, AIA, aba-archtects, Tucson, AZ; Randy Byers, AIA, TDSi (The Design Studio, Inc.), Cheyenne, WY; and Jim Morter, FAIA, Morter Architects, Vail, CO .

In 2004, 57 project submittals were accepted, of these 23 projects received the AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Award in the following categories: Built, Unbuilt, Interior Environment, Urban Design, Open Category and Student.
