Narrative:
The DOA Consolidated Rent-a-Car Facility was designed to house all of the rental companies serving McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. The main building contains of all the customer drop-off and individual rental company service counters. Customers flow from the rental counter areas to the three deck parking and staging facility to retrieve vehicles. Beyond the parking structure are the individual service facilities which include fueling, wash bays and repair bays. The facility is a major tourist portal to Las Vegas and was designed to promote the image of travel and the airport. The naturally daylit lobby has a wing shaped roof clad in metal panels to evoke the aviation theme and the metal clad porte-cochere further emphasizes the wing and aviation concept.
