Our mission is to support the teaching, research, and public service programs of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, by facilitating access to information within and beyond the University Libraries. We assist library patrons, both in the Library and at a distance, in identifying, evaluating and using information sources most appropriate to their research needs. We are dedicated to providing a positive, service-oriented environment, which is supportive and productive for both library users and staff.

Approved requests will be sent to Circulation using a referral slip indicating for how long the item may be checked out and initialed by the staff member. Undergraduate students wishing to check out reference materials should be referred to the head of the Research & Information Department. Users outside the UNLV community cannot check out reference materials under any circumstances.
